BLUE WANDERING
Exploring the poetics of Cyanotype through Experimentation and Emotion
The project involved experimenting with cyanotype, a photographic printing process that produces blue-toned images, to create a book. I initially tried to control the process but eventually embraced experimentation, making mistakes and following my emotions to tell a story. The limitations of the analog process taught me to be more open to taking risks and embracing the unexpected in the creative process.
The result is a short story about a figure that wanders through a blue world, traversing different landscapes and experiencing various emotions. The story reflects a journey of self-discovery and explores the concept of „wandering in the blue“, which can be interpreted as venturing into the unknown or embarking on a distant journey. It begins in the city and takes the figure through woods, mountains, and water, ultimately leading them back to their city as a transformed individual.
